So today is Saturday and the sun is finally out the Gods heard my Facebook status "I want Sun" so i took Beau for a walk in his buggy, his buggy is a version of the moutian buggy generously gifted to us. As the wee man now has head control i am thinking of changing the seat from lying flat to the big kid seat (they grow up so fast) because as have recently noticed he hates lying down, and strains to sit up clunching his tiny abs and grunting- he is so keen to explore but can only do it from mums lap at present, so I am going to try him in the baby sling using the kangaroo hold which he should enjoy.
Tummy time has become a challenge, my PEPE (plunket parent education programme) nurse says baby has to do it four times a day in order to strengthen neck and arm muscles, also i read that because we are now sleeping babies on their backs they need the tummy time so they don't get flat head. he hates it because he gets so frustrated at not being able to lift his head we have to disguise TT by doing it on a swiss ball, or propping him on pillows (which makes it easier for them to lift their head) with the after bath massage.
